(1 good lie | sucker for a good lie) i am alive [10 Oct 2005|08:42pm] c's mom and sister got into town last night, we had sushi!!! today i met them at the moa and we looked for some new shoes for me (no success) and i think they are going to a different mall tomorrow...their fligh got cancelled so they are staying one more night in mn...at least that way they will get to spend more time with c...he has to work pretty much the whole time they are here but the trip was planned prior to him having a job so bummer...just wanted to touch base...

(sucker for a good lie) friday [12 Aug 2005|05:14pm] long time, i know... about an hour ago, chris told me we got the apt... i only have 10 more days of work... i got much of my to do list done... shortly, we will hit the road for the great indoors and ikea...aka heaven to me...

(sucker for a good lie) number 3 [29 Jul 2005|10:38pm] okay yesterday i went to the 3rd funeral of the year...thats the max/person right? cs worked on the l&d unit and every morning she would call me and ask me 'have you seen your mama yet?' mama aka my boss...there were even a few mornings i would call her and ask her if shed seen my mama...we easily did 3 miles at relay for life and chatted it up...we bowled our butts off at bowl for kids sake (and unfortunately for me, there is a pic of me w/ a coconut bra on--posted on her photo collage, mind you--to prove it...) the car accident details are still confusing to me and even the newspaper didnt clear anything up...i know there was a car from the opposite side of traffic involved and that her car was wrecked, they didnt even know what kind of car she was in....3:54 pm....i was told about monday morning and this has been the longest week ever...for real..

(sucker for a good lie) camping [11 Jul 2005|05:28pm] yesterday afternoon chris and i got back from our camping trip in san marcos...r&dl, cd, zu, bd, ju, and a joined us...it was tons of fun!!! our campsite was very nice (despite some pesky neighbors) and the owners were hella sweet!!!! if you are in the area, go to riverside resort!!! cd got into a mishap on the river but all is fine and i got my pics back this afternoon and they are cute! i am not great at actually posting my pics so i wont even say i will...on a totally other note, chris' ex-gf had a baby boy yesterday at my hospital....oh joy!!!! and no, its not his kid!!!!

(sucker for a good lie) minneapolis [21 Jun 2005|03:13pm] 1. i am sick: started as an upper resp. infection, spread to my sinuses...been coughing my butt off since last week...sucks! 2. got back from minneapolis last night---i LOVE it!!! its gorgeous there and eden prairie (the town we are hoping to move to-right outside of minneapolis) is so nice! we found an apt and i love it!!! 3. went to mall of america and yes, you guessed it, i am in love!!!!

[13 Jun 2005|07:11pm] alrighty, since i have the time, i will try to do a run down of last week... saturday: left for galveston sunday: boarded ship, enough drinks to get have a good buzz monday: at sea-explored the ship tuesday: key west was lovely, got blisters on my feet and saw about half of the 50 cats (yes, i know thats 25) at the hemingway house and the southernmost point of the US, free drinks (this time on shore) wednesday: at sea, laid out with chris, we both got burned and had some yummy drinks 'love connection' thursday: missed grand cayman because of hurricane arlene-BUMMER!! i am sure we drank friday: cozumel was also lovely, went to chankanaab nat'l park-beautiful!!! saturday: feeling a little seasick, won $960 in BINGO!!!! doesnt seem like much but throw in a trip to the casino everynight and tons of food and i was in vacation heaven!!! will try to get some pics up when i get them...

(sucker for a good lie) tuesday [31 May 2005|09:32pm] today, riley got spayed and man, it was hilarious to see her as a conehead ($9 cone at that!!) but once we got home, she couldnt quite navigate to sit/lay so i took it off....she looked so miserable that i didnt even think to take pictures prior to cutting it off...its been a quiet night but by tomorrow, her medicine will have worn off...so tomorrow she will probably be more of her normal self...i didnt get to run all my last minute errands but hopefully tomorrow....so much to do now thats its only 4 more days til i leave for galveston!!!!
